Slovenia in the EU
The time has come for the new generation in the European Union to (co) create a better, sustainable, economically more prosperous, cohesive, more transparent and responsive, decisive, solidary, socially adequate and secure Europe. A Europe closed against hate speech, generalization and unnecessary threatening, spreading fake news and various types of extremes. The European Union cannot remain merely a series of shared policies, but must above all become a collective identity connecting, preserving and enhancing the colourful national identities of EU states and nations. In such inclusive EU, we see Slovenia, which must be heard – regardless of its smaller size. The aspiration is an EU where the size of a Member State’s territory or population size is not an essential criterion.
