Volunteering is an important social bond that promotes solidarity and strives for a better future for all. In crisis situations and in the event of mass disasters, volunteers are often the cornerstone of helping those affected. MEP Joveva will take part in a discussion on volunteering in the EU as part of the #StudioEurope project on Monday, 23 May, at 11 am.

What is the future of volunteering, also in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine? How can the state support the work of volunteers and NGOs and how can the European Union? Where are the possible and necessary improvements?
The following will also take part in the discussion:
– Gregor Gomboši, Commander of PGD Ljubljana-Vič,
– Tjaša Arko, head of the volunteering program at Slovenian Philanthropy,
– Sandi Curk, Commander of the Regional Staff of the Civil Protection for Notranjska,
– Miha Zupančič, President of the Youth Council of Slovenia.

The event will be moderated by a volunteer of the skupajsmo.eu community Urban Lečnik Spaić, and you can follow it live in the EU House or live on the FB profile of the European Parliament Slovenia.
