The PIP Institute is implementing the project “Europe on our doorstep”, with which they want to draw attention to topics in the local environment that have a broader European context. They want to dedicate one of the events called “European Picnic” to the target group of young people, because on the occasion of the European Year of Youth it is important to enable this target group to express its opinion on important EU issues.

This debate with students of the Secondary School of Economics and Gymnasium Maribor will be dedicated to the topic of media literacy, as the organizers want to draw young people’s attention to the importance of critical assessment of media content and content available online. The event will be designed as a conversation with young people, focusing on the importance of critical thinking and critical assessment of the content of what we can do ourselves to improve our media literacy competencies. The event will take place in hybrid form.
